Josh Colburn began his career at Baird in 2019 as an intern and transitioned to a full-time role through the firm’s prestigious Foundations Program. During this intensive two-year experience, he earned his Series 7 and 66 licenses while collaborating closely with Baird’s subject matter experts in Milwaukee. This foundational period helped shape his deep understanding of the firm’s values and approach to client service.
Now serving as an Associate Financial Advisor, Josh plays a key role in developing comprehensive financial plans, supporting business development efforts, and identifying alternative investments for larger portfolios. He is especially passionate about working with the next generation of clients, helping build strong financial literacy foundations and ensuring families are supported across generations. His work is rooted in thoughtful analysis, personalized service, and strategic guidance tailored to each client’s goals.
Originally from Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, Josh is a proud graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, where he earned dual degrees in Finance and Business Analytics. He currently resides in downtown Chicago and is actively involved in the community. Josh supports organizations such as the Filipino American Association and the Young Men’s Educational Network (YMEN), and he hosts an annual event that introduces diverse high school students in Chicago to career opportunities within Baird’s downtown office. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing and giving back through service.
